The International Active Cities Association has launched another meaningful event combining mobility and solidarity with nature as part of the “Solidarity Circle: Voluntary Hands in Sports” project. Participants put their theoretical training into practice outdoors, experiencing horseback riding while demonstrating an exemplary stance on environmental awareness.
Physical Mobility in the Heart of Nature: Horseback Riding
The “Outdoor Sports Activity,” organized under the ESC30 project (code 2024-3-TR01-ESC30-SOL-000276733), was shaped by the nobility and energy of equestrian sports. Selected based on participant feedback, the horseback riding session provided an opportunity to improve balance, focus, and physical coordination while enjoying the seasonal weather. The “benefits of physical mobility” learned during training sessions were experienced firsthand through this activity.
“Bring Someone Along”: The Spirit of Solidarity Spreads
One of the most highlights of the event was the Sports and Environment Picnic, held under the motto of “sharing mobility.” To strengthen the spirit of solidarity, each participant joined the organization with a friend or relative they wished to encourage toward sports. Through various sports activities and tournaments, the awareness of physical activity reached beyond project participants to the wider community.
Zero Waste, Full Awareness: A Greener World for Future Generations
The project made a difference not only through sports but also through environmental responsibility. Attention was drawn to “Zero Waste” awareness through a trash collection and nature protection activity held at the event site. By working together to clean the environment, participants sent a powerful message: sports should be sustainable and in harmony with nature.
