Within the scope of our project 2024-3-TR01-ESC30-SOL-000276733, we successfully carried out our second activity. Together with our participants, we explored the concept of volunteering in depth and discussed the importance of volunteering in the field of sports.

Conscious Volunteering Training

  • This session highlighted that volunteering is not merely an act of service—it is a powerful value that transforms society and develops individuals.
Sports Volunteering Management Training

In our second session, we had the honor of hosting Mr. Şenol Güneş, President of the Youth and Sports Volunteers Association and an esteemed academic.

INTERSMARTS Platform Activity

We also participated in the #INTERSMARTS platform, supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), designed to develop sustainable solutions for challenges faced in tourism.

Our contributions focused on:

  • Sustainable infrastructure and resource management
  • Pollution and waste management
  • Seasonality
  • Technology transfer and innovation

We shared problems arising from real experiences, explored best practices implemented in other countries, and developed solutions with the expertise of our volunteers.

These three activities clearly demonstrated that volunteering is not only an individual act but also a tool for societal transformation. Together, we are learning, sharing, and growing.
