We held the I. National Meeting of our Young Perspective on Active Urban Policies Project in Erzurum on December 15-21 and the II. National Meeting in Istanbul on November 17-23.
In the national meetings held within the scope of the project process, our participants organized group workshops on 8 different topics.
- The Impact of Urban Planning and Infrastructure Services on Physical Mobility,
- Accessibility of Sports Services,
- Increasing Physical Mobility at Work,
- A Young Perspective on Active Urban Policies,
- Development of Green Spaces in Cities,
- Promoting International Activities and Sports Education for All Ages,
- Increasing Youth Participation in Cities and Raising Awareness,
- Sustainable Urban Planning / Utopian Cities.
We completed our Active Urban Policies Summit program hosted by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University on November 28, 2024 in order to share the intellectual outputs of our workshops with the public, to create an environment for our young participants to share their experiences gained during the project process, and to attract the attention of decision-makers and the public.
Our summit, held at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, was organized by IZU Faculty of Sports Sciences Vice Dean Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Abdusselam Köse started with his opening speech.
After our Active City presentation, the intellectual outputs of our Active City Policies Young Perspective Project were shared with young people. Our participants shared their experiences gained in the projects with the summit participants. After the question and answer session, our Summit ended with a collective photo shoot.
The intellectual outputs of our Young Perspective on Active City Policies Project will soon be shared with the public on our web page and will be transmitted to all community stakeholders electronically.
The project aims to involve young people in active urban policies and raise awareness on this issue.
